The Xeno Brake by Dead Air Suppressors takes the Xeno Mounting System to the next level. When shooting unsuppressed, this omni-directional brake greatly cuts down on recoil, but what really makes the Xeno Brake shine is its mounting abilities when paired with a suppressor equipped with a Xeno Adapter. This configuration delivers a lightweight and incredibly solid mounting interface with outstanding repeatability and return to zero – a perfect option for precision-minded individuals. One of the Xeno Brake’s more notable features is its shorter lock up positioning and length, causing it to sit at a shallow depth in the blast chamber. This in turn prolongs suppressor life and provides excellent sound reduction by minimizing the focused erosion on your baffles. The short length and lock up also makes the Xeno Brake well-suited for suppressors with smaller blast chambers, and utilizes 1-3/8-24 threads to make it compatible with Dead Air’s Nomad series, as well as many other suppressors on the market. The Xeno Brake and Xeno Adapter come together via left-handed threads – this eliminates the chance of the adapter unthreading when the suppressor is removed, and allows the shooter to confirm the mount it tight during installation. Other features of the Xeno Brake includes plenty of tool space, which is accessible even when the suppressor is completely installed. In addition, the Xeno Brake is constructed from ultra-hard 4140 nitrided steel for outstanding resistance to corrosion, carbon fouling, and copper deposits.
