Taurus takes close-range personal and home defense to another level with the Judge Public Defender! This snub-nose revolver utilizes a 5-shot cylinder and is chambered in both the heavy-hitting .45 Long Colt cartridge, as well as 2.5” .410 bore shot shells. Its ability to use .410 shotgun shells makes the Judge Public Defender an outstanding choice for close-range self-defense applications such as in a vehicle or in a building, and the multiple projectiles increase hit probability while also reducing the risk of over-penetration. The Judge’s .410 compatibility also allows the user to tap into the sheer amount .410 loads, including buckshot, birdshot, slugs, and other cartridges. In addition to its excellent self-defense potential, the Judge makes for a perfect pest-control pistol, and can be carried on the trail as a “snake-gun”. The Judge Public Defender’s barrel, cylinder, and frame are made using high-strength steel alloy, and give the revolver a weight of just 28 ounces. Other features of the Judge Public Defender include a comfortable black rubber grip, and a high-visibility red fiber-optic front sight for fast, intuitive target acquisition.
