Track your dogs in the field with the Alpha 200i Handheld Device and T5 Mini Dog Collar by Garmin! The Alpha 200i can connect to up to 20 dogs (additional T5 Mini collars sold separately), and provides their exact location within a 4 mile radius. It features an update rate of 2.5 seconds for greater accuracy even when they’re on the run, and is equipped with the Pro View Compass to give you simple, at-a-glance tracking that shows which direction, how far away your dogs are, and when a dog is “treed” or “on-point.” The Alpha 200i is outfitted with hunt metrics, allowing you to view each dog’s daily hunting patterns, distance and speed so you can monitor performance and help prevent overheating. Other dog tracking abilities include Dog List/Group Management, so you can keep inactive dogs in your dog list, and manage active groups so you don’t have to add and remove dogs for every hunt. In addition, the Alpha 200i utilizes Multi-GNSS support providing access to GPS and Galileo global navigation satellite systems for greater tracking and navigational accuracy than GPS alone.

Aside from its impressive dog tracking capabilities, the Alpha 200i is equipped with extra features to give you an extra edge in the field. It comes preloaded with TopoActive mapping for a detailed view of terrain contours, topographic elevations, summits, and other geographical points of interest as well as the optional display of public land boundaries. The Alpha 200i is also outfitted with navigational sensors such as a barometric altimeter to monitor ascent, descent and short-term trends in air pressure, and a 3-axis, tilt-compensated digital compass. Should your hunt take you off the grid, the Alpha 200i is compatible with Garmin’s own inReach technology to keep you in contact with the outside world in areas where cellphone reception is poor or non-existent (subscription required). The inReach technology allows you to exchange texts, post to social media, share your location and communicate with other inReach users in the field. In the event of an emergency, the inReach technology can be used to issue an Interactive SOS alert, sending an SOS message to Garmin’s IERCC, a 24/7 staffed professional emergency response coordination center.
