The Beretta A400 Xcel Shotgun utilizes Beretta’s own A400 action; a proven system that allows the user to make follow up shots 36% faster than any other brand. The A400 action can reliably cycle shells in the 2¾ inch to 3 inch bracket with target loads or the heavy hitting waterfowl shot. The Xcel features an advanced recoil mitigation system in the form of a hydraulic shock absorber that moderates the rearward energy away from the action’s moving parts. This combined with the Micro-Core butt pad can reduce the recoil up to 70% and guarantees minimal muzzle rise. In addition to its advanced action and recoil reduction systems, the Xcel has the durability and reliability that Beretta is known for. The barrel is made from Beretta’s proprietary Steelium, a metal formula designed for reliability, ruggedness and consistency. The barrel is also cold-hammer forged and the bore given a chrome-plating to keep corrosion to a minimum.
