Description
Benelli took the popular and successful design of the ETHOS Sport shotgun, and enhanced it with a lightweight construction and a weather-resistant carbon fiber finish to create the Benelli ETHOS SuperSport. It features a synthetic stock which has been outfitted with Benelli’s own Comfort Tech 3 recoil reduction system. The ComfortTech system utilizes a series of shock-absorbing chevrons, which essentially turns the entire stock into one large recoil pad. Recoil is further reduced thanks to a series of ports on the barrel, which also greatly reduce muzzle rise and allows shooters to remain on target.
The heart of the ETHOS SuperSport is Benelli's renowned Inertia Driven System. This extremely reliable action is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and harnesses the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. This simple, yet robust system eliminates the need to make adjustments, and is able to handle the lightest field loads to heavy magnum shells. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. This makes the Inertia Driven System run significantly cleaner than gas systems. In addition, the ETHOS SuperSport has the Shell View system in the magazine tube, this allows the user to instantly know how many shell are loaded with a quick glance.
