CZ Custom took the SP-01 Shadow 2 pistol and optimized it for accuracy to create the AccuShadow 2! Originally designed to dominate USPSA Production Division matches, this accurate, fast-shooting handgun retains all the qualities that made the standard Shadow 2 such a popular choice, but features an array of performance enhancing upgrades. One of its more notable enhancements is a new ¼ turn 1911-style AccuBushing, which makes the pistol capable of sub-3” groups at 50 yards. Another major upgrade is a custom made hammer, giving the trigger a lighter, smooth pull, and a hand-fitted disconnector makes the reset as short as possible. To deliver exceptional control over the weapon, the AccuShadow 2 is outfitted with fully checkered front and back straps, as well as a higher beavertail and an undercut trigger guard – this places the shooters hand closer to the bore axis. In order to reduce recoil and muzzle flip, the slide and barrel are slightly longer for more weight, and a special contouring on the slide focuses the reciprocating mass closer to the centerline of the bore. Other features of the AccuShadow 2 include a magazine release that can be swapped to either side, and has an extended button with three settings to allow shooters to set it in a position most comfortable to them. In addition, a hardy nitride coating and Polycoat finish makes the handgun impervious to corrosion.
