The Instinct Solar Sportsman Smartwatch by Gramin was designed for individuals with active outdoor lifestyles, and comes packed with features and preloaded apps to give you an extra edge in the field. Its overall design is extremely durable, meeting the U.S. Military’s 810 standards for thermal and shock resistance, with a water proof rating up to 100 meters. The display is outfitted with an integrated solar panel, which greatly increases battery life for more time on the trail and less time recharging. Should your adventures take you into the backcountry, the Instinct Solar Sportsman is equipped with Multi-GNSS Support, which provides access to GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo global navigation satellite systems for more effective tracking than GPS alone. Other navigational abilities include the Tracback Routing app which allows you to accurately navigate the same rout back to your starting point, and ABC sensors including and altimeter to display elevation data, a barometer to keep track of weather, and a 3-axis digital compass. The Instinct Solar Sportsman Smartwatch can also be paired with select Garmin inReach devices (sold separately, active satellite subscription required) to receive weather updates, send/receive messages, and issue an SOS alert to Garmin’s GEOS 24/7 emergency response team.
The Instinct Solar Sportsman Smartwatch is also outfitted with a wide array of features to track your body’s performance throughout the day. These include a Wrist-Based Heart Rate Monitor to keep track of your pulse, and alert you if your heart rate stays too high or too low while you’re at rest. The Instinct Solar Sportsman Smartwatch also features the Body Battery to optimize your body’s energy reserves by using heart rate variability, stress, sleep and other data to gauge when you’re ready to be active or when you may need to rest.
