The Taurus Tracker 627 offers exceptional reliability, ruggedness, and versatility making it well suited for personal and home defense. This particular model features a 6.5-inch bull-barrel with a sizable under-lug and 4 factory tuned ports at the muzzle to redirect expanding gasses upwards – together, these features greatly alleviate recoil. The barrel can also be outfitted with a optics mount (sold separately), allowing a red dot to be installed for faster close range target acquisition, or a magnified optic for extending the pistol’s effective range and greater long range accuracy. Unlike the majority of .357 magnum revolvers that use 6-shot cylinders, the Tracker 627 is outfitted with a 7-shot cylinder to give the weapon even more potential for self-defense.
