From what I’ve heard, the one feature Col. Jeff Cooper felt this iteration of the “scout” rifle concept was 70% of his original requirements. The missing item is a stripper clip feed, not completely sure if that accounts for 30% or if there were other things left out of this design. I’ve got to say the Cooper package I purchased is THE most accurate rifle I own in 308 caliber. Shooting is a perishable skill, but in my prime when I was shooting high power weekly or more, this rifle was capable of shooting 5 rounds through the same hole at 100 yards bench shooting off a sand bag.
