This is the second purchase I have made for this particular application. I now run it on both competition rifles and (along with other modifications) has greatly helped reduce recoil. Would highly recommend.

With a 308, I wasn't sure I wanted a muzzle brake. But I also wanted to stay on target after the shot. This APA brake is so easy to install and de-install that you don't feel your stuck with it all the time. It works like advertized, but is loud (like every other brake).

I have shot about 100 rounds of 300 win mag ammo through this brake and notice a HUGE reduction in perceived recoil. But muzzle rise is still significant, as measured by Cal Zant in his review article. So now I am ordering the Gen III Fat bastard with tunable plugs.
