I have the duplex reticle version of this scope on a CZ varmint in 17hmr. It's perfect for prairie dogs out to 125 yards or so. I've made hits on them out to 150 with it. Scope performed fine out that far but the little 17 hmr wouldn't stop the prairie dogs reliably. I'm buying this one for a Sako 85 varmint in 223. I think it's probably going to be plenty for coyotes out to 200 or 300.
