This is one of the more unique and beautiful Alex Sepkus pieces that we have ever had the pleasure to sell. Alex Sepkus jewelry is always hand-crafted with beautiful, eclectic motifs – but this 18K Sapphire and Diamond "Sea" Cross Pendant truly takes things to the next level.
Let’s start with the body design of this pendant. A nautical theme was the inspiration for this "cross" design. The center of the cross is rounded and contains a tsavorite stone, while the four outflanking "cross" components have been hand-built out of 18k gold, and decorated with swirls, patterns, and dots that create a beautiful, sea-inspired design.
However, the beautiful tsavorite center stone is truly the centerpiece of this pendant. Weighing in at 0.14ct, this stone has been bezel-set and is brilliant-cut with dozens of individual facts. This allows the dark and mysterious green color of the tsavorite to shine through with an unparalleled vigor – reminiscent of the mysteries of the sea.
Five 0.05ct diamonds are also built into this necklace, flush with the body of the pendant and included on each of the four "arms" of the cross. These small, bright and beautiful stones help augment the dark color of the tsavorite, and add more visual interest to this one-of-a-kind piece of Alex Sepkus jewelry.
