Athlon Argos BTR 1-8x24mm 30mm ATSR5 SFP IR BDC MOA LIKE NEW DEMO Riflescope 214072 *Packaging May Be Damaged*

I bought the damaged box scope, and the box was definitely damaged, but the scope seemed ok. First thing I did was check the zoom and clarity of the optics. The scope has a focus ring, and at 8x I was pretty surprised at the clarity out to about 400 yards. I could read small road signs at that distance. The zoom was pretty stiff, but loosened up with use. At 1x, the view has a slight pincushion effect. Not horrible, but something I notice. The turret clicks were tactile and easy to use. No complaints. The reticle illumination was good, and works well in daylight and night conditions. For the money, the performance of this scope is outsized to its cost. Make no mistake, it is not a Leica or high-end Trijicon equivalent. But it performs well for the money you spend.

The scope is like as described,shipping was fast. I mounted this on my new AR15 with some Vortex extra High rings that I had and the height is just right.

This is the 2nd Althon scope I have purchased from Europtics ,very good scopes & the prices were cheapest around.Will be purchasing more.

The box was damaged as described, but the scope appeared new. I first adjusted the eyepiece for clarity using 8x from my backyard, on a road sign about 300 yards away. I could easily read the sign, so that was a good start. Both focusing and zoom were stiff, but got smoother with use. The edge to edge clarity was surprisingly good. Not Leica good, but really good for the price point. At 1x the optic has some pincushion appearance. Not horrible but noticeable. The reticle is excellent. The illumination at maximum is good, I didn’t test the other illumination settings, but I will at night. The MOA clicks are really good. No complaints. Overall the scope clarity and features are outsized for the price. My only negative is the pincushion effect at low magnification. But the reticle makes up for that, in my view.

Athlon Argos 1-8x24, 30mm BDC I'll start this off by saying thanks to EuroOptics, for the sale, price...everything. This company is great to work with. As described the package was a little beat up but the contents were pristine, like brand new. I did not buy this optic with the notion it was the best LPVO I could get. My intent was to have a good, illuminated reticle, BDC LPVO I could shoot out to about 250 yards with my 450 Bushmaster. Bingo! the glass is good, not fantastic, it adjusts well, the illuminated BDC reticle is just what I want, very easy to read. It has lived longer on the 450 than I thought it would, being as the rifle kicks like a 12 gauge. The scope is mounted to a Burris PEPR, rock solid and holding zero through over 100 rounds so far. I have adjusted the rifle zero from 50 to100 then to 150 and it keeps me on track. This reticle is not intended for the 450 but I have adjusted certain marks to my yardage and it is great! This scope has done more than I intended and keeps going. It's not for every application but it fits mine well.

Great price for an outstanding LPVO scope, super clear glass and 8 power gets you 300 yard shots plus lightweight and the reticle is very nice and not to busy. This is my 2nd one of these so all in all EuroOptic and Athlon are the perfect pair for fair prices for great products.
