I had been using a Harris on my 13.7 pound .308 custom bolt gun (based on a Remington 700 action). Though the Harris was "usable" it required frequent re-zeroing of the cant due to the pivot mechanism not holding tight enough, even with a PodLoc lever. The rifle never felt entirely stable on the Harris.
The Atlas 5H was a major investment but seemed worth a try to get the most out of my rifle. It dwarfs the Harris and with the apex above the bore, is far more stable. The panning ability makes getting on-target easy and the cant mechanism locks down solid. Once the rifle is on-target and the 5H clamped down, it stays put and provides a huge improvement in rifle stability.
If you spend a lot of time shooting from the prone and are looking to get the most precision possible from your rifle, the Atlas 5H is a major upgrade over smaller, more lightly-built bipods.
Kudos to EuroOptic as well for their super-fast order processing and getting my package out the door (ordered on Monday morning, delivered to my home in NH on Wednesday).

Shipping was fast and the bipod is built like a tank. I have not been disappointed with any of bipods, scopes, or rangefinders I have purchased from Eurooptic!

If your wanting the best heavy dutty bipod on the market look no further! Have the Accu-Tac HD-50 and now the newly acquired Atlas 5H, the Atlas 5H takes the cake. From long range benchrest/F-class to prone ELR. This is the most sturdy bipod I have ever used. Fit and finish on this bipod is Tier1. Shipping and customer support is the best in the bisness.

This bipod replaced my Harris bipod on my RPR .338 Lapua magnum and I must say it is BEAUTIFUL. Highly recommend this if you have a .338 Lapua magnum caliber or larger.
Also I paid extra to have this item shipped next day at 11pm and the product was delivered within 24 hours of ordering.
It’s pricey for me personally but as they say; BUY ONCE CRY ONCE!
Happy shooting everyone, stay safe.

I mounted this on my AI AXSR 338 LM. I took the bipod out for it's first day on the range, and was super pleased with it's sturdiness and adjustability. The tension wheel adjusts from almost no resistance to completely locked down and everything between, and it was very easy to adjust when moving into different positions. I tried shooting with the legs fully retracted and fully extended. It was very stable in both configurations. I also love that the legs do not spin like some of the smaller models, it definitely adds to the stability. Based on its construction, I could see this thing lasting for a lifetime.
I'm very happy with this bipod, but it definitely has some weight to it, making my already heavy rifle even heavier. If you plan to pack your rifle in a hard case with this mounted, make sure you have enough height to do so. Fully folded this thing is almost 6 inches wide. I'm thinking about trying out a set of spiked feet for it when I don't plan to shoot from a table or mat. I haven't removed the rubber feet yet, but it looks like it requires an allen key. I was hopping for a quick detach mechanism.
Overall, I'm very happy with this bi-pod and it's exactly what I was looking for when I purchased it. I would highly recommend this for large caliber guns. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, EuroOptics sent this out very quickly. I surprised to see it show up in about 3 days.

Looks well made, just like its smaller brother. Just mounted to a Cadex .50 BMG. Can't wait to try it out.
