I bought this pistol, the 92X FR with 3 17 round magazines. I also picked up 3 18 round mecgar magazines from another sight.
I was torn between this, a Taurus PT92, a regular 92fs, and also the INOX 92fs (used). After thought I decided I wanted something nice, not just a large DA/SA, so it was a new Beretta. Now which one?
I decided on this one for several reasons, the 1st being this was on a good sale, $559, which I had gotten in on a $100 rebate I read about. (A year or so ago) the inox was $729, and the 92fs was $579.
So price wise, this was the best, I looked at all the upgrades, and realized I would probably be 2nd guessing myself if I didn’t go with this model..
This thing is awesome, very accurate, feels good in the hand, also has 2 grips & 3 magazines included. The grip texture is very good, I didn’t expect that, I thought it would be a rubber feel. One grip mimics the traditional feel of the 92fs, the one I had on the pistol is thinner.
I like the grip texture. The mag well is flared, has the better D spring installed already, nice easy 1 round pull. Extended mag release, replaceable sights, yes even the front! Picatiny rail, ( I like the smooth dust cover better, but not a deal breaker)
I ran a couple hundred rounds through this today, very nice accurate, easy to shoot and minimal recoil. A real sweet SA trigger.
The only drawback for me is finding a holster, and the front sight. I don’t pick up the red very well, color blind thing. I will paint this a fluorescent yellow, which I pick up great. I may also swap it out fora yellow night sight if I can find one. Everything else about this pistol is all I had hoped it would be. I would love to have it in stainless with no rail for the same price, then it would be perfect!

This is the gun to have if you’re not able to afford the M9A3 model, you will sleep at night just as well as though you’d purchased the M9A4.
😘 Good luck and happy shooting.
