I took a chance on a pair of "demo" Blaser Primus 10x42 binoculars. Blaser, while well known for premium hunting rifles, is kind of an upstart in the premium optics arena. I'm really glad that I did. I'm very impressed with their binoculars. They have a very wide field of view and they present a very bright image. I think that they compare in most areas as equal to my Leica Geovids. Most of my family members still think that my Leicas are a tad better but it's not a really fair comparison because the Leicas are 8x56. Everything from the packaging to the accessories that are included with the Blaser's are very well thought out and executed. I really hope that Blaser sticks with it because based on the merits of their first attempt - this company is one to watch and I think that a little competition is a healthy thing especially in the premium class.
