Description
Blaser's R8 Selous Stock Receiver is handcrafted with the quality and workmanship that Blaser is known for. This set includes the stock and fore-end, the receiver and the bolt assembly. One of the most notable features is the Grade 9 walnut stock and fore-end. Grade 9 wood is sourced from walnut trees in the Caucasus Mountains of Eastern Europe, where the trees are subjected to extreme climatic conditions for hundreds of years. This results in tremendously slow grown, and gives the Grade 9 wood a naturally burled grain pattern with elegant marbling and an impressive 80% - 90% color contrast. After being precisely cut into shape, the wood stock is treated with a complex oil finishing and given an ebony fore-end tip. In addition, the R8's bolt assembly is one of the safest and most reliable actions on the market. Its straight-pull mechanism allows for fast follow up shots, and can be easily un-cocked by pressing down on the cocking leaver.
