At about $600 the Bushnell Elite 1-6.5x is a bargain. The reticle makes more sense in real life than on paper. The center dot is the only part that lights up. It’s a simple red dot with some holdover markings under it. It’s pretty bright—not Aimpoint bright but plenty bright. The tan colored one has closed caps and better glass for $50 more. But the exposed caps and “lesser” glass are totally serviceable. Anyway... at $600 either is a total bargain.

All high quality, except the illuminated dot has the appearance of being lit up brighter on the left than on the right. This gives the appearance that the dot is off center to the left. This effect is more and more prominent as the environment gets darker and the illumination setting is moved dimmer. This effect does not change regardless if the firearm is held on the right or left or viewed with the right eye or the left. However, if you are a good enough shot to hit the bad guy if the lit dot were perfect, then you'd still hit the bad guy with the lopsided lit dot. It's just annoying to see. All that said, the dot when NOT illuminated is perfect. Again, it is high quality in all other aspects.

To Newell, You can find the user manual from bushnell website. Just Google "Bushnell ET71624 user manual" or "ET71624P". They share the same user manual. https://service.bushnell.com/s/article/Elite-Tactical-SMRS-II-1-6x24-Rifle-Scope-Instruction-Manual You could find a "File" in the right, just under the word "REQUEST SITE".

Euro optics service is 5 star, unfortunately Bushnell is not helping much. I mounted this scope on a PSL54 (with a cryo'd barrel, adjustable gas block and cmc trigger). I'm using a RS Regulate base and Vortex pro rings. I believe its possible the windage mechanism in the scope gave out in a few shots as the PSL's reciprocating mass is heavy and when it slams forward, it is really hard on scopes. Over several days and a over a hundred rounds, I fully verified the POI would drift left at least 3-4 inches every 1-2 shots. I would go home and disassemble everything and check the gun and mounts and rings. Eventually I put my old scope back on and it worked as it always had. I usually get just a hair over moa with 174MKs in PPU brass with 43 grains of Varget. Bushnell tells me at least a month before they look at the scope that arrived there a week ago. I understand this scope is intended for an AR and they have been pretty much bullet proof for everyone else, so I will update this as soon as I find out what's wrong, or if its something I messed up.

Bought during $600-off sale price. I’m new to higher end glass, but my buddy was very impressed. I have not been able to find the online manual at BUSHNELL.com, so that’s a bummer. You guys know how to send me a link to the proper online manual? If so, would be greatly appreciated. I found manuals for all sorts of products, but not this one. Thanks
