Description

The Christensen Arms CA-15 Recon is a great modern sporting rifle that gives a lot of value for the price. It runs on a piston system that provides a flawless semi-automatic rate of fire. Both the upper and lower receivers are machined billet for prolonged life and quality. This rifles integral features are a 16" carbon fiber wrapped barrel, machined billet upper and lower receiver, titanium flash suppressor threaded with a ½"x 28 tpi, mil-spec bolt carrier.

The external features and furniture continue to add value to this already incredible rifle platform. The CA-15 Recon comes with Christensen’s patented carbon fiber hand guard with a slim-line design. This goes a long ways in the weight reduction that is paramount to any platform that could be carried for an extended length of time. It also comes with a MagPul CTR buttstock, MagPul 30rd magazine and MagPul MOE pistol grip. This rifle weighs just over 6lbs naked and is guaranteed to shoot a 1" minute of angle or better. Pound for pound and feature per dollar it will be hard work to find a rifle that offers a similar value to the CA-15.

Got mine from EuroOptic a few months ago. I love the gun. Great value at this price. I only gave it four stars, however due to the trigger. At even the sale price I believe it should have a name brand drop-in trigger of even modest price. The standard mil-spec trigger it comes with is just adequate.

Love this rifle! I have had it for several months and put several hundred rounds through it. The best thing about this gun, besides being very light weight and the carbon fiber, is the easy cleaning. The piston system puts no dirty gas in the receiver so cleaning takes no time at all. My other ARs are collecting dust now because of that. Mine came with a Timney trigger which they removed on later guns so that was a big bonus.

I got the CA-15 Recon for Christmas 2019. The fit and finish are excellent and overall it's a very nice rifle. My only complaints are they could have included a premium trigger and a better buttstock for a rifle at this price point. The trigger is smooth but quite heavy. I went to the range and I was very pleased with the performance of the rifle. It functioned flawlessly with two factory loads and two hand loads. After a little break-in accuracy with the hand loads was excellent. Five shot groups were between 0.5 and 1.0 inch at 100 yards using just a 1-6X LPVO scope. I believe with more break-in, a higher magnification optic and a better trigger (on the way) it will do about 0.5 inches all day. Extreme accuracy for an AR platform rifle. I would highly recommend the CA-15 for anyone looking for a very accurate AR-15.

I have had my .CA 15 Recon about a year and the more I use it the better I like it and the better it shoots. I'm not a very good shot I use it for predator hunting I put a timney trigger and a Gemtech suppressor on it and it even shot better. The piston system is so much cleaner to shoot its the only one I use.I got mine from EuroOptic on sale still a lot of money for me but worth every penny I love it. It payed to buy the best.

Purchased from Jason from Eurooptic. We discussed the different models and I chose the Tungsten.I was surprised when i received. It looks better in person than in the picture and shoots better than my other ARs. I do not normally write reviews, this is my second for them, but my Experience with Eurooptics has been excellent throughout the years that i thought they deserved another review.

This is an excellent product and one of the best store bought rifles I have ever seen. The quality of this rifle is just short of when I custom built my SBR 300 AAC Blackout and surpressed. The quaility of the workmanship...pictures do not do it justice. Eurooptic is a please to deal with and their shipping speed, communication, and pricing is exceptional!!

I’ve had the Recon for about a week now and finally got to test two kinds of ammo today. I was initially disappointed with the accuracy but wasn’t taking into consideration the cheap fmj ammo I was shooting. Less than 2” 5shot group at 100 yards but I’m used to my bolt guns so that wasn’t pleasing to me, so I put in Hornady 55gr spire point to test a “hunting” round that I know will kill deer and hogs. This is when I fell in love with the rifle. My group went from sub2” 5 shot group to around 1/2” group. My index fingernail covered up 4 of the holes and of course I had the “flyer” that left just enough paper to separate it from the one big hole from the other 4 shots. This gun is sharp, very easy to maneuver, and turns out that it is very accurate. I can’t wait for Wylee C. to step out now because I have no doubt that the Recon will come out on top.

This is an awesome rifle!! Euro Optics was awesome to deal with, they gave me the info I needed to make the decision to buy this. My son, my daughter and myself have all shot this rifle and it shoots absolutely awesome for all of us!! The only modification I did is after shooting 20 rounds thru it I put a new trigger in it and our 3 round groups are less than an inch at 100 yrds. Will definitely be buying a couple more!!

After seeing the price, I researched this weapon and Christensen Arms as a manufacturer for about three months before making this purchase. The weapon is beautiful to look at, and it fires flawlessly! I took the time to break in the weapon as per CA's instructions. While tedious, it is well worth the effort to do so. This rifle is an absolute joy to shoot!
