CDiPrecision Gunworks DBM (detachable bottom metal) is a popular choice for owners of rifles with blind magazines, who would like to incorporate a removable, external magazine to their rifle. CDiPrecision DBM features a one-piece, trigger guard /magazine well configuration. They are compatible with AICS magazines (short- long-, and magnum action lengths) and their clones.

I purchased the CDI Tikka DBM for a Manners EH1A stock. It arrived in a timely manner from Eurooptic and in perfect condition. I bolted the DBM right up and the fit was on par. The only issue that I ran into was the AI and AI type magazines I had would not seat, but CDI provides a issue/solution packet that stated if the mag catch does not lock you must shorten the catch. I still contacted CDI direct before I started to remove metal. I took a punch, knocked out the pin, got a flat file and went to work. The mag catch works perfect now with AI and Alpha mags! Although I had the initial issue with the catch being to long I still gave the product five stars because that is something to be expected, I assume, when producing a product that will work in multiple stocks that can have multiple distances from the inlet to the bottom of the action. I am well satisfied with the final product! I have very little play with the magazines since the catch is a “custom” length now and I have had “0” issues with feeding or marring of the magazines, ammunition etc. The magazines also fall away with ease. The folks at CDI are very helpful with answering questions too and are a pleasure to work with. I hope this review was of assistance and God bless!
