The Cadex Defense CDX-R7 SHP SA .308 Win with a 24″ 1:11.25″ barrel, MX2 ST muzzle brake, and Hybrid Stealth Shadow/Black integrated stock is a precision-oriented bolt-action rifle crafted for long-range shooting and versatile field use. Built on Cadex’s R7 Sheepdog platform, this rifle features a match-grade 24-inch Cadex barrel with a 1:11.25″ twist and 5/8″-24 threaded muzzle for easy muzzle device or suppressor attachment. The R7 Sheepdog Rifle is a short action rifle from Cadex that features the more “traditional” rifle stock. Don’t let the word “traditional” fool you though, the R7 Sheepdog is supported by Cadex’s Strike Nuke synthetic stock with a built in micro-chassis system for a more durable and accurate rifle. The R7 Sheepdog action is precision machined from 416 stainless steel and features a 50° bolt throw and 4 lug system. The barrel is a straight tapered 1.238” Unisig barrel that has been fluted and 5/8x24 threaded for the attachment of most muzzle devices. The trigger is Cadex’s own DX2 Evo 2-Stage trigger that can be easily converted to a single stage trigger if the shooter prefers. The R7 Sheepdog Riflefeatures 20 MOA action rail for mounting optics.

The Strike Nuke Stock was designed to be a blend of highly ergonomic benchrest stocks and lightweight hunting stocks, ensuring that the rifle outfitted with almost everything a precision shooter needs. The buttstock is adjustable for length of pull, recoil pad height, and features a tool-less adjustable cheek piece. The R7 Sheepdog’s grip features a pistol like design allowing for a comfortable grip when shooting from the prone position. The bottom metal features an enlarged trigger guard for shooting with gloved hands and is AICS magazine compatible. The forend of the Cadex R7 Sheepdog Rifle is outfitted with M-Lok attachment points at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions.
