Christensen Arms takes one of its most formidable rifles – the Modern Precision Rifle – to the next level with the Modern Precision Rifle Competition. It sports many of the same features as the original MPR, but has been outfitted with numerous upgrades to ensure superior, competition grade accuracy. The MPR Competition comes equipped with a new, 416R Stainless Steel barrel with a target profile. This free-floating, threaded barrel is topped with an adjustable side baffle brake to help mitigate recoil, but can be removed for use with a suppressor. The MPR Competition’s grip has also been replaced with an ergonomic vertical-style grip that includes a thumb rest, and the trigger has been upgraded to a TriggerTech “Special” Flat-Shoe trigger to promote more precise shots. Other features include an adjustable folding stock with a locking hinge mechanism, and can be finely tuned to the user’s preference for length of pull and cheek height. In addition, the MPR Competition utilizes AICS-Compatible magazines, and features a tactical mag release for quick, instinctive reloads.
