Well, this rifle is a mind bender... it has a very nice fit and finish. The trigger is pretty good, not exceptional. If you adjust it, you terminate the warranty. I haven't shot it a lot, it definitely isn't the best shooter I have, but it appears it will shoot inside a minute for three shots.
My biggest complaint about the rifle is the weight. It is advertised as 6lbs 1oz. It weighs 6lbs 8oz. In my opinion that is too heavy. It's basically false advertising. I debated trying to return it, but it is such a hassle, I didn't. That's really my main gripe other than the muzzle bread (Below). I am a bit bummed about the accuracy. I will eventually terminate the warranty and reload some rounds for it. Maybe it can be approved. In fairness to CA, it is within spec. I was hoping for more, that's on me.
I am not a fan of CA. The warranty is so picky, I think shooting must invalidate it. The rifle doesn't come with a thread protector, which is ridiculous. They charge $16 bucks for one and $11 bucks to ship it. I think they could have just marked the gun up another 50 bucks and thrown one in... everyone would be happier. Worse than that is that you get a blued thread protector for a stainless rifle. Really lame for a 2K rifle. I emailed CA and received no response. I called them and got a fairly unpleasant guy that was immediately trying to get me off of the phone.
At this point I wish I would have bought a Tikka. I would have had a gun that weighed the same, had pretty mediocre fit and finish, but shot lights out and had a better trigger, and I would have $500 dollars in my pocket. I just couldn't find any of their rifles in the caliber I wanted and I thought for the extra dough I would get a rifle that weighed half a lb less, which was a win, and hopefull shot as well (Doesn't). This one is also threaded... not something that was a big factor for me, but it did have some value.
EuroOptic was great. I've ordered two expensive items from them and both orders went fantastic.
