Glass is clear. 34mm tube does let in more light. Seems comparable to higher end Nikon scopes. It doesn’t have a zero stop feature like the Nikon’s. I purchased it knowing this. I don’t shoot in competition. That may be a deal breaker for those that want to get started in long range precision rifle shooting. I have it mounted on an AR-10 with a Ballistic Advantage 6.5 Creedmoor premium barrel. Printed my best groups with this rifle so far. Several 3 round groups under an inch with three (Black Hill’s 130gr ELD, Hornady 140gr ELD Match and Federal GMM 130gr Open Tip Match Hybrid) producing half inch groups. All off a bench at 100 yards. I agree with the other reviewer about the eye relief. Other than that and the lack of a zero stop I would have given it 5 ⭐️.
This scope is rock solid and very clear, and it has held up to over 600 rounds on my Savage Stealth .300 win mag without a single shift in the zero. I have been able to stay around 1/2 moa from 100-1400 yards with hand loads with no problems. The one and only reason it gets 4 stars is the 3.1 inches of eye relief, witch is pretty annoying but for under $700 its going to be hard to come close to the value of the optic.
