They’re designed around Danner’s 851 foot model. This makes them fit true to size with athletic and supportive qualities, provides abundant toe space, and locks the heel in place. Based on customer feedback, the 851 was upgraded with Danner’s exclusive Terra Force Next platform, which combines an internal and external shank system to deliver greater arch support and torsion control. To enhance support and comfort even further, the Pronghorn boots are outfitted with a Vibram SPE midsole which offers greater cushioning properties without sacrificing durability. In addition to comfort, support, and durability, the Pronghorn is equipped with a Virbram Outsoles that delivers greater traction and fits seamlessly into the Pronghorn’s low-profile design. To ensure the greatest resistance to the elements, the Pronghorn boots feature a 100% waterproof GORE-TEX lining that prevents water from seeping in, but allows moisture to escape. The Pronghorn boots also feature an upper portion constructed from premium full-grain leather which undergoes six different tests before being selected to insure the utmost quality.
