Description

The Desert Tech MDRx 20" 6.5 Creedmoor Forward Ejection Conversion Kit utilizes the newly designed gas block for enhanced reliability and the new Ratchet compensator. The conversion kit includes the bolt, barrel assembly (including barrel extension), forward chute panel, and magazine insert (if applicable). Desert Tech MDRx Forward Ejection (FE) Conversion Kits are only compatible with MDRx FE rifles and chassis.

Provides for very precise shots, and much more soft-shooting than I’d anticipated — considerably less felt recoil than the .308 16” barrel. Also more precise groups at 100 & 200 yards (1 MOA vs 1.5-ish) with comparable match factory loads. Gas block functions much better than gen 2 .308 gas block. In all, just a superior product. Mated with a 1-6 LPVO, makes the MDRX a joy to shoot as a semi-auto precision or hunting rifle, at least at short range. Perhaps I’ll post an update after I’ve had opportunity drop a real scope on it and take it out to 1,000 yards.
