Description

The EOTech Vudu 5-25x50mm is ideal for the short platform rifles. At approximately 11.2 inches in length, the 5-25x is one of the shortest first focal plane rifle scopes on the market. The elevation turret includes a push/pull locking system. One unique advantage of the short design is that it provides the ability to attach either a clip-on night-vision or thermal device in front of the scope and still allow the user to make adjustments to the device without leaving the scope.

I had my eye on this scope for quite a while. MSRP if $2200 was a little more than I wanted to spend but over time I noticed it come down to $1299 and had to try it. Glass clarity is fantastic up to about 16x and from 16-25x it really starts to deteriorate. Chromatic aberration is bad for such a high end scope and gets worse the higher power you dial. I am really not very happy with it at the higher magnifications. I like to shoot in the 10-14x range when shooting long range so it is something I am totally fine with..at these lower magnifications CA is non existent and clarity/contrast/brightness are phenomenal..it’s super strange how much I love the glass at lower power yet can’t stand it at higher power. As for build quality I think it is second to none. Very good fit and finish..turret design is excellent. When resetting to zero the machining is so good it is impossible to set the turrets somewhere between 0 and .1. Also no tools needed for anything except the zero stop. Even then can be done with a coin or spent shell casing. Very well done there. Very happy with eye box too. Not the best but we’ll above average. Bottom line…pretty low barrier to entry for the Tremor 3 reticle if you can get it for the sale price of $1299. If you are paying full msrp I believe I would skip it in favor of a razor or Nightforce NX8. Just one man’s opinion. I feel like I would have been disappointed with this optic at $2200 but at $1299 it is very good.

I got the display model, real couldn't afford new in the box. Fast delivery from Eurooptic. The scope glass is very clear, the adjustments work as advertised no complaints here. Illumination is for dusk and dawn conditions. This scope is a good scope. Blem and display is worth the money. Even better Eotech stands behind their product the illumination went out on the scope. I contacted Eotech the scope in for warranty work, they fixed it and shipped it back in less than 2 weeks. No cost other than shipping to them. If your thinking about getting one. Stop thinking and get it.
