The MARQ Aviator Gen 2 is a stylish, multi-functional tool watch built from the ground up for pilots. It features a grade-5 titanium built with a ceramic bezel inlay, a titanium bracelet, 24 hour GMT markings, and a stunning and highly responsive AMOLED display protected by a domed sapphire lens.
The MARQ Aviator Gen 2 comes fully equipped with a complete set of aviation-themed navigational features. A moving map allows users to pan across the map with a touch, tap on waypoints for more information and see NEXRAD radar overlaid on the route. Users can also enjoy an HIS course needle to easily see if they’re left or right of their desired flight path. The MARQ Aviator Gen 2’s Airport Information function provides information such as runway orientation with wind components, lengths, and airport frequencies, as well as a Direct-To Navigation feature that allows users to navigate straight to a location or waypoint in the worldwide aeronautical database, or choose the Nearest function to activate a path to a nearby airport.
In addition to its navigational functions, the MARQ Aviator Gen 2 offers multiple in-flight features. The Flight Logging automatically start tracking flights on takeoff, then automatically transfer date, duration, total flight time and route to the user’s flyGarmin.com account. The Weather Reports provides access to aviation weather, including METARs, TAFs and MOS, to see winds, visibility, and more while a Barometric Altimeter alerts user’s to when they’ve reached their desired altitude and provide alerts to when supplemental oxygen may be required. In the event of an engine related issue, the MARQ Aviator Gen 2’s Emergency Mode can be activated to see the best glide speed, estimated glide distance, glide time, view a bearing pointer to the nearest airport, and see a list of alternate airports.
Other features of the MARQ Aviator Gen 2 include a multitude of preloaded apps and built in sensors to give you real time updates on your body’s performance while in the field. These includes a Wrist-Based Heart Rate monitor that alerts you if your heart rate stays too high or too low while you’re at rest, and gauges how hard your heart is working during activities. To optimize your body’s energy reserves, the MARQ Aviator Gen 2 comes with Garmin’s own Body Battery Energy Monitor – this built-in feature uses heart rate variability, stress, sleep and other data to gauge when you’re ready to be active or when you may need to rest.
