Description

Combining all the best aspects of the LRP07 and LRI20, JP Enterprises has created a finely tuned long-range rifle ready for any shooting completion. The upper receiver comes from the LRI-20, providing a stable, repeatable platform that shines over most gas operated rifles in its class. It utilizes JP proprietary Low Mass Operating System (LMOS), which increases the bolt's velocity while simultaneously reducing the impulse of the shot. The bottom half comes in the form of the LPR07, this lower features a Gen 2 Silent Captured Spring System which provides more buffering mass and reduces the chance of bolt bounce. Together, these factors reduce a significant portion of felt recoil and provide smooth cycling.

In addition, the LRP07/LRI20 comes equipped with Luth-AR MBA-1 modular buttstock assembly. This advanced stock slides right over the buffer tube, and its length of pull and cheek rise can be configured to the users specific requirements. The LRP-7/LRI20 also features a Houge Pistol Grip, which comfortably fits in the hand and naturally positions the fingers for optimum grip.

I had been searching for an AR-10 platform in 308 Win for the past 6 months. I had been reading many reviews and information on various rifle manufactures and had narrowed down my choice to the JP LRI-20 and one other rifle. I had also been looking into building a rifle on the JP website when I found and purchased an LRI-20/LRP-7 rifle that came available on Eurooptics. I purchased a 34mm X 20 MOA scope mount from JP and mounted a Vortex Razor 4.5X27X56 which I purchased from Eurooptics on the rifle. I am really impressed with the JP scope mount and it was easy to get the scope placed, leveled and mounted to the gun. I went to the range for sight-in earlier this week and had it sighted at 100 yards in 4 shots. I proceeded to shoot 4 sub-moa groups to confirm the sight-in. The next day I took the gun to a long range shooting lane and shot 200,300,400 and 500 yard targets and steel. I was shooting Hornady Super Performance 150g SST ammo. The gun performed outstanding. It shot 3/4 MOA groups at 300 yards and I had no issues hitting steel targets at 400 and 500 yards. The JP rifle and Vortex scope are an excellent combination and made accurately shooting to 500 yards easy. We had no issues with the gun function and the gun worked well with the Hornady ammo and locked open after all empty clips on the factory gas setting. During barrel cleaning I saw no indications of any copper and it cleaned up quickly and shot good groups after cleaning. I have other AR-10’s and I really like the side charging handle on the JP the best. The LUTH-AR adjustable stock cheek plate worked well and was necessary because of the height the scope above the barrel but made setup easy to get comfortable and repeatable alignment with the scope. The LMOS system made the rifle kick only moderate for a 308 and made it easy to get back on target. Overall I’m extremely pleased with the JP rifle and JP will be my first choice when I’m in the market for another rifle. The folks at Eurooptics provided excellent customer service when buying both the gun and the scope. They had the only JP rifle I could find and their prices on the both the rifle and scope were better than I could find anywhere else.
