As a owner of a broad array of Euro and Nightforce scopes, I am Very Happy with the overall quality and clarity of the Leupold Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 35MM PR-1MOA Illum. The price point, overall weight, compact design and capability put this scope way above the competition. I will be taking this set up to Tajikistan this fall and will hopefully have a great story to tell. The only consideration is the 35MM ring and base selection is limited for a Mauser 98 action. I initially used a picatinny rail from EGW and 35MM standard rings from Badger ordinance. I found the height of the scope much higher than I prefer. I went back to a set of Weaver bases and lowered the elevation more to my liking with the current McMillan stock. All considered Very Happy with the set up.
