This is a really nice scope .Great glass, love the fire dot circle! I use this on all my 2gun and 3gun rifles.

I was looking for a low range variable with an illuminated reticle for a .35 Whelen Imp. to use on a baited black bear hunt. Haven't shot rifle with scope mounted yet, but impressions so far - this appears to be a typical Leupold product. Clearity appears to be very good and focus stays constant through the range of magnification. I wasn't excited about going to a 30mm tube on this gun, but it will be OK. The one thing I didn't like is that when illuminated instead of a single point of illumination at the center of the reticle what appears is around 10 tiny points in a cluster. While this will work for my intended purpose, I find it distracting and not what I expected. Also, I have not seen the illumination flash at the top & bottom of the intensity adjustment - though that may be operator error.

I was looking for scope for my new Browning BAR MK3 DBM in 308 Win. After some research decided to give a try to Leupold VX-6HD 1-6x24mm FireDot Circle Scope. Second option in the consideration was Steiner Nighthunter Xtreme 1-5x24mm 4A-i Riflescope. I decided to order Leupold knowing that the scope will take some beating on boar hunts and I need the one with the shortest possible repair cycle - just in case.
The clarity and brightness of the Leupold VX-6HD is on par with my Steiner Nighthunter Xtreme 1.6-10x40 riflescope.
The icing on the cake is EuroOptic's Customer Service which brings an additional value to already great pricing: when I needed to replace scope they have send me another one not waiting for the return! Thank you!
