Overall I mostly like the rifle. But it has some odd things about it. The trigger is polymer, but is breaks clean and is adjustable. Bluing is nice, but seems to wear easily. Stock is cheaper synthetic, but is rigid. Butt pad removes, to store small item, very gimmicky. Magazine is very nice and is flush. Bolt is a different design, has 2 plunger ejectors. Requires more force to push bolt forward to lock down in place. Accuracy is a mixed bag. Tried 8 different premium factory rounds, most groups 1.5" to 2". Have about 60 rounds through it. Best group was 1 1/8" 4 round group federal 180 gr power shok.

The 300 win mag holds 5 rounds in the magazine not 4.

This is my first bolt action rifle so I am by no means an expert. I paired this with the Zeiss 1-4x24 V4 scope and low Tanner scope rings. Basic inexpensive setup. I finally went to the range two weeks after putting everything together, using cheap Remington .300 win mag core-lokt 150 grain PSP ammo. Elevation was spot on at 100 yards, with minor adjustments needed to the windage. Immediately was able to get groups smaller than 1", and once zeroed in, was able to consistently hit bulls eye round after round with little effort. Absolutely impressed with the results considering the price I paid. Shooting at 100 yards is by no means the gold standard, but a great start and I can't wait to see what I can accomplish at greater distances.

uh... The mauser site said the 7mm and 300 win mag barrels were 24.5 inches not 22.

Question. Aren't the magnum calibers supposed to be 24" or 62 cm? On the mauser website it said the barrels for the 7mm and 300win were longer than the other barrels
