Aside from a detachable magazine, what sets the 590M apart from the 500 is a more durable design in the form of thicker barrel walls, a heavier receiver, and a metal trigger guard instead of a plastic one. Select models of the 590M are available with ghost ring sights, heat shields, M-LOK attachment points, and interchangeable stocks and pistol grips. Like the other shotguns in the 500 family, the 590M Mariner comes standard with a set of dual extractors, twin action bars, and an anti-jam elevator.
