Description

Nightforce's latest entry into the extreme long range riflescope market is the Advanced Tactical Riflescope (ATACR) in the line's highest magnification range - 7-35x56. This extensive magnification range is paired with a first focal plane configuration, and a selection of available reticles to provide what can be considered one of the finest options for long-range tactical applications, precision rifle competition (PRS competitors are already anticipating this), or long-range hunting.

Like all of the optics in the ATACR family, the 7-35x56mm variation features a one-piece tube precision machined from a solid bar stock of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. The tube is two to three times thicker than riflescopes of a lesser quality, resulting in less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics within. The lenses are matched and aligned by hand in a process called optical indexing to ensure the highest possible optical performance. The objective lens utilizes a multi-element design like those found in the highest quality telescopes to focus light rays more precisely for exceptional image clarity and color accuracy. Optical performance is further enhanced thanks to multi-coated ED glass that results in superb light transmission, brilliant images, and exceptional color contrast. The elevation turret on ATACR Riflescopes are equipped with Nightforce’s ZeroStop Technology to provide an instant return to zero after making adjustments in the field. After sighting in your rifle, simply set the ZeroStop to create a positive mechanical stopping point at your chosen zero point. Then, no matter how many elevation adjustments you make, turning the elevation knob down to the ZeroStop setting returns you to your original zero, completely by feel—even in total darkness or while wearing gloves. The internal mechanisms on the windage and elevation turrets are held in place by a specially designed spring that spends two weeks in a polishing tumbler before being installed in the optic to deliver perfectly smooth operation. This guarantees zero loss of integrity, zero loss of repeatability.

Nightforce is already known for ruggedness and reliability in their riflescope lines, and the ATACR 7-35x56 is no exception; building from his foundation, the scope has many features, including:

  • Legendary optical performance via an ED glass package
  • First Focal Plane configuration
  • Side-focus parallax control from 10 meters to infinity
  • 100 MOA/27 Milradian of elevation travel
  • 60 MOA/16 Milradian of windage travel
  • Included Power Throw Lever (PTL) and Flip-Caps
  • ZeroStop turret back-to-zero functionality

Bought one from Jason when they were still hard to get. He gave me an outstanding deal and I liked it so much I bought a second one. Shipped the same day 2nd day UPS. Had it for the weekend shoot. Eurooptic is a great place to do business with and this is a outstanding scope. I am slowing selling my other scopes to upgrade to this one on all my rifles.

Very nice scope. Clear view, adjustments are crisp and smooth. Only thing I don't like is the whole lens turning when adjusting the power. Still the best scope I've ever used and Eurooptic has been great to work with.

Without a doubt one of the best scopes made. Putting on an AI AT-X. Amazing glass. Always great to deal with EuroOptics. Very fast shipping and always best price.

I have this on my Tikka T3X TAC A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor in a Spuhr mount. It's a wicked combination. Yesterday i hit a soda can at 1,380 yards in 14 shots with it. There was a nasty 90 degree crosswind and tons of mirage to deal with. I have the Mil-XT reticle and honestly, if i could design a reticle myself, it would probably be either the Mil-XT or H-59. I absolutely love the Mil-XT reticle. The glass is superb. Truly superb. The scope itself is really rugged. The clicks and tracking are really great. The illumination is awesome. The 35x max magnification is really, really awesome. Prior to putting this scope on my Tikka, i had the Steiner T5xi 5-25x56 on it. That scope has let me down in more ways than one. From poor glass quality to a broken parallax knob, (never been rough with it either) to that outdated, crappy, SCR reticle. What a let down. So i have hit out over a mile. All my other optics get blurry out over a mile. Not this optic. I have hit a soda can in 3 shots at 1,004 yards as well as the aforementioned soda can hit at 1,380 yards in 14 shots in a nasty crosswind and horrible mirage. I honestly couldn't see the impacts on my background silhouette painted white at 1,380 yards because of the mirage. It wasn't until i had 2 close together (neck and lower head shot) that i could finally see an impact and make the correct hold adjustment to hit the can at that distance. Hitting milk jugs at 1,400 yards is child's play with this scope. I honestly can't imagine a better rifle scope.

OMG wow This is without a doubt the best scope I have ever owned. It even doubles as a hammer according to the video (kidding). Eurooptic is the best place to do business with when it comes to optics and accessories. Five stars to them too!
