Description
This is a used Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 riflescope. It's still in great condition and available today at a reduced rated compared to a new scope.
Inspired by the NXS, Nightforce's Competition 15-55x52mm Riflescope defines rugged, reliable, and repeatable. Like all of Nightforce’s Riflescopes, the Competition offers extreme durability. It utilizes a one-piece tube precision machined from a solid bar stock of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. The tube is two to three times thicker than riflescopes of a lesser quality, resulting in less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics within. The sheer durability of the Competition 15-55x52mm is perfectly matched by its flawless optical quality. The objective lens assembly employs the same multi-element design used on high quality telescopes. This results in precisely focused light rays for exceptional image clarity and color accuracy. The lenses are matched and aligned by hand in a process called optical indexing to ensure the highest possible optical performance, which is enhanced even further thanks to multi-coated ED glass.
Other features of the Competition 15-55x52mm Riflescope include the Hi-Speed windage and elevation turrets. This design promotes faster adjustments, and both the windage and elevation turret are calibrated to precise .125 MOA increments. The turrets also feature Nightforce’s ZeroStop Technology to provide an instant return to zero after making adjustments in the field. After sighting in your rifle, simply set the ZeroStop to create a positive mechanical stopping point at your chosen zero point. Then, no matter how many elevation adjustments you make, turning the elevation knob down to the ZeroStop setting returns you to your original zero, completely by feel—even in total darkness or while wearing gloves. The internal mechanisms on the windage and elevation turrets are held in place by a specially designed spring that spends two weeks in a polishing tumbler before being installed in the optic to deliver perfectly smooth operation. This guarantees zero loss of integrity, zero loss of repeatability.
