Sweet scope! Reticle and illumination pattern is perfect for its use, nice visible red dot like for the close up fast acquisition and reticle draws you’re eye to the center. use yet works great for distance work. Center dot could be a little smaller but I have no problem with it as I’m sure being a FFP , to be a useable as a red dot there’s a reason it may be a little bigger... either way I’m good with it as I didn’t get it to shoot tiny groups out to 200-400 yards ... it’s an all around optic great for cqb and having the luxury of up to 8x for distance , tactically fantastic , not to mention it’s pretty light weight for what it is. Only cons if I had to be picky for the price point is the eyebox isn’t great , it’s okay but my VX6 HD 1-6 blows it out of the water eyebox and field of view wise plus forgiveness of eye relief however with that said this scope is replacing it. The lighter weight, red dot like aspect, the reticle and the extra magnification edges it out for me. The eyebox isn’t a deal breaker for me. This scope is freakin awesome! One last complaint if I’m being nit picky, at this price point I feel that it should come with some decent lens covers. The ones that come with it, I guess better than nothing but pretty much garbage as far as real world use. They protect the lens yes but if you needed to uncover for a quick shot that matters or try and take shots with them on but open is a crap shoot, they’re so flimsy and insecure. I’m shocked NF put their name on those, should’ve just left them blank as a better than nothing covers.. anyway just fixed that issue , ordered up some Tenebraex lens covers from Europtic and they are fantastic! Ones like those do this scope justice! Not cheap but can’t skimp to protect glass on a nearly $2k scope. Overall I’m ecstatic and this scope is a lifer , it’s tactically perfect for cqb out to whatever lethal 5.56 distance @ torso size / hunting application ..... it’s a perfect fit for my MR556/416 build , takes advantage of its super accurate barrel as well as handles all around useages. If I could afford it, this Optic would go on all my 5.56 AR’s but not happening, barely afford one! Glad to have it tho!! I have to mention again, Europtic has been great, replies and answers questions and concerns in a timely fashion & they leave me no doubt that if I ever ran into any issues that it would be taken care of with no stress and that’s nice to know. Thank you!

I wish I had purchased it sooner. It is absolutely daylight bright and unless you're planning to get into night vision I wouldn't even worry about running an offset with it. People like to harp on it for having a tight eye box but I didn't have any issues with it when I was running drills.

Demo model was like new. I was hesitant to buy the nx8 1-8 because if all the reviews online claiming it has extremely tight eye box but all that worry was for nothing. Eye box is fine and this is a very good optic with a lot of capabilities in a small package.

No difference between new and this demo. This is a great optic. Tracks well. The saved money can go towards the mount.
