The action’s bolt handle is also designed to place the shooter’s hand in a natural position, which in turn allows for faster repeated firing and follow up shots.

The magazine is detachable, but can be loaded through the ejection port, and Sako’s patent-pending Total Control Latch prevents the accidental release of the magazine. It starts with a barrel blank, which is then drilled, honed, and cold-hammer forged, before being individually inspected and given an attractive polished blued finish.
