Specifically designed for US Special Operations, the Personal Defense Weapon or PDW is a compact, lightweight, rifle that excels at close to mid-range engagements. Both the upper and lower receiver are skeletonized to reduce excess weight without compromising the rifle’s integrity. The upper is precision machined from 7075-T6 billet, and features a Type III Class 2 hard coat for perfect resistance to the elements. The lower features an Enhanced Bolt Catch and Ambi-release, as well as custom screw in dowel pins, hammers, and pin punches to make assembly and disassembly easy. To ensure reliability in ever-changing conditions, the PDW is equipped with the Select Adjustable Gas Block. This innovative gas block has 30 different settings to allow the rifle to be fine-tuned. This gives the shooter the ability to rapidly transition between suppressed and un-suppressed shooting, change ammunition types, and consistently shoot in dirty conditions all with the turn of a simple throw lever. Other features of the PDW include the Seekins Precision NEST flash hider. This advanced muzzle device swirls the hot gasses exiting the barrel immediately, which in turn extinguishes the flame and eliminates the visible flash. The NEST flash hider utilizes Melonited steel, so carbon fouling won’t adhere to it for easier cleaning. Removing and re-installing the NEST flash hider is equally as simple; its non-symmetrical design removes the need to time the muzzle device, the need for crush or peel washers, and the need to special tools. In addition, the PDW is outfitted with an Odin Works Close Quarters Stock, that can be rapidly deployed thanks to its spring loaded system and offers 5 selectable stock lengths.
