Description
The Seekins Precision Havak Professional Hunter PH2-NRL is another step forward in the evolution of American made hunting rifles. The Havak action uses 4 locking lugs and allows for a 90° bolt throw. Unlike most actions that place the bottom bolt lug behind the feed ramp, the Havak action places the bolt lugs at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions. This design keeps the feed ramp unencumbered and enhances feeding reliability. The action comes with a pre-installed 20 MOA Picatinny rail with (5) 8-32 action screws allowing for wide variety of scope mounting choices. The barrel of the Havak Professional Hunter is finished with a stainless steel bead blast on the 5R spiral fluted barrel.
The Havak Precision Hunter 2 is hand bedded with aluminum pillars ensuring a perfectly free floated barrel. The newly designed Carbon Composite stock used on the Professional Hunter 2 is designed and manufactured by Seekins to be lightweight but still able to handle even the most extreme natural conditions. Additionally, the Havak Professional Hunter PH2-NRL's forend features M-LOK attachment points as well as dual sling swivel studs for use with tripods and other accessories.

This rifle is insanely accurate and a great value for what you get. Mine shoots in the .2’s-3’s 5 shot groups with FGMM 140 SMK and Hornady Precision Hunter 143 ELD-X. Cheap Winchester deer season 125gr even shoots .5moa. I ran a few fast 10 rounds strings to test for stringing or shift as the barrel gets hot to imitate a higher round stage at a NRLH match and there was zero stringing and groups only opened up to .5moa or so. I shot one 25 round group to see what it did getting very hot and it was still right around MOA which is damn impressive. The barrel has also patched out with just hoppes #9 during and after the break in and also after the second range session where I tested several different types of ammo and shot those long strings. Most factory barrels I’m breaking out the boretech and brushes and scrubbing like mad to get copper fouling out, this barrel collected next to no copper. The ergonomics of the stock are great, the TT diamond is excellent and the added sling stud and MLOK section are a nice touch for either adding a pic rail in the front and short ARCA at the balance point (rifle balances perfectly right on the MLOK with a 30oz optic, brake and with or without bipod) or a full length ARCA and still be able to shoot production class. The build quality is phenomenal and they even fully bed the stock at the factory. I have zero complaints about this rifle, I’d say it’s about as close to perfect as it gets for a hunting rifle NRL Hunter match rifle, or just casual long range rifle if you’re looking for something lighter. With a Hawkins brake I can watch the holes appear in paper off a game changer bag under the balance point. This is the third Seekins rifle I’ve bought recently with the same accuracy and build quality results.
