Springfield Armory's XD Mod.2 is the next evolution of the classic XD pistol. It has upgraded interface between the shooter and the gun. The Mod.2 is also more concealable.

All XD Mod.2 pistols come standard with a grip safety and the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System which keeps the trigger from moving in a rearward direction without being intention moved. The XD Mod.2 features the GripZone which is a new grip texture and has the High-Hand grip relief and High-Hand beavertail which allows the shooter to get the highest grip possible. The Mod.2 also has a no-snag trigger guard.
