The SP-4002 34mm 0 MOA Mount is a high-performance mount designed for high performance optics. The SP-4002 is precision machined from a solid billet of 7075 T651 aluminum, giving the mount outstanding durability when compared to other mounts that are screwed together from smaller parts. This rigid construction helps prevent the scope from flexing under heavy recoil/rough environments, reducing the risk of damage and helping prolong the scope’s service life. The SP-4002 attaches to the host rifle via picatinny interface, allowing the same mount to be used across a wide assortment of weapons, and is particularly well suited for extended picatinny rails combined with clip-on night vision/thermal devices.
The SP-4002’s rings have been cut at a 45° angle, which prevents the screws from interfering with the adjustment knobs to help the shooter quickly determine the adjustment settings. This configuration also provides the shooter with a horizontal line that help prevent accidental rotation of the rifle, and index marks on the top and right side of the rings makes low knobs easier to read. The ring’s interior contact surfaces also has grooves which can be used with adhesive to better secure the scope in place – this option is perfect for firearms prone to sever vibrations such as bench-rest shooters or for those used in off-road vehicles.
One of the SP-4002’s more notable features is its interface system, which utilizes seven sets of interfaces to allow the user to attach over 40 different accessories for virtually unlimited customization options. This interface system also makes it possible to mount accessories either by Picatinny rails or as direct interfaces for certain accessories like angle cosine indicators and red dot sights.
Other features of the SP-4002 includes a patent pending solution for indexing the rotation of the scope. This is achieved by an included tool/gauge to index the scope correctly to the mount as well as the rifle. In addition, the SP-4002 features an integrated bubble-level to prevent canting of the rifle
