The Spuhr Ideal Chassis System or SICS, was designed with adjustability, modularity, stability, and innovation at its core. This advanced system allows the user to install accessories designed for the Spuhr Ideal Scope Mount System at various positions on the rifle system, and can be finely tuned to the user’s preferences. One of the SICS’s more notable features is its stock assembly, which is foldable, and offers a tool-less length-of-pull adjustment by simply pressing the LOP levers and sliding the LOP bar and butt-plate assembly to the desired position. Spacers can also be fitted to extend the length-of-pull, and preset stops can also be installed making it easy to get into a proper firing stance/position quickly. The stock assembly’s butt-plate is outfitted with a Limb-Saver Airtech recoil pad to greatly mitigate felt recoil impulse, and can be effortlessly adjusted for height by pressing the locking button and sliding the plate assembly into a desired position. The rubberized cheek piece is also adjustable for height be turning a wingnut, and can be adjusted for length with a Torx 20 key. The SICS pistol grip features a proprietary design, and like the stock assembly, can be adjusted for length of pull. The grip is made to fit a wide range of hand sizes without creating tension during prolonged trigger engagement, is rubberized for a no-slip-grip, and is interchangeable with standard AR-type grips.
The chassis body itself is machined from a solid billet of 7000 series aircraft grade aluminum, and an extended tenon to better support the 16” HBAR forend. This creates extreme stability, rigidness, and strength to the entire system, and Spuhr interfaces on the sides of the magwell enables easy installation of Spuhr accessories. The modular HBAR forend is designed to accommodate larger bull barrels that exceed the Heavy Varmint profile, and will fit any barrel with a maximum diameter of 1.25” or under. The forend is also outfitted with an integrated Arca Swiss rail, and is designed to allow a proprietary Spuhr Arca Swiss Rail Grabber to be rapidly, and securely moved between positions along the rail with the push of a button. In addition, this chassis is available for Remington 700 clones such as the Cadex Defense CDX-R7, BAT Machine, Curtis Custom, KS Arms, Surgeon Rifles, Terminus, and Zermatt Arms/Big Horn Arms.
