Description

Steiner’s 2.5-10x42mm Predator 4 Riflescope was designed for hunts in the dense forests of the Midwest and Eastern United States, and comes packed with features right out of the box. It comes equipped with HD glass with the Predator Diamond Coating which generates outstanding light transmission, enhances contrast, and produces high-definition imaging. The Predator 4 also sports the E3 illuminated reticle, which features a precise center cross above a “Christmas tree” pyramid of hash marks and sub tensions to accurately compensate for wind drift and bullet drop. In addition, the Predator 4 also features best-in-class optical clarity and a substantial field of view.

This is a great piece of glass, the magnification range is perfect for eastern whitetail hunting. The glass is very clear and sharp, resolution is excellent. Fit and finish are also very high you can definitely tell the difference between a Burris Veracity, because I have one. Illumination is not what I would call day light bright but it is very much useable, FOV is really good, finish on the scope is very durable and thick unlike a Leupold that scratches from literally touching it. The one thing I noticed next to my Trijicon and NF SHV is that the image is brighter, sharper and more flat, which is hard to explain but once you see it in person you completely understand. The magnification ring and illumination dial are very smooth and has an off position between every intensity setting. Trust me this is sleeper scope and you will not be disappointed.

i have not mounted the scope, but the glass is top notch, better than my Trijicon by a smidge and i think Trijicon glass is great too. This scope checked all the boxes for me, tough construction, light weight, and great glass.

Bought the Steiner 2.5-10 for a 308 Winchester w/ a 16.5" bbl. Really disappointed for a number of reasons...it's basically a high priced Burris with European looks. In fact, the reticle is the same as the Burris. After reading specs, which I should have done before, it's even made where Burris scopes are. There is no side focus which I knew before hand but though I could do without. Unfortunately, as you age, your eyes change and side focus is important. So if you wear reading glasses, this scope isn't for you. I tried shooting with, and without my glasses but any movement of your head makes the reticle appear to move, this is where parallax (side focus) comes in handy. So basically I paid $1000 for a Burris Veracity 2-10×42. The only pros I see is the illuminated reticle, clear glass and compact size.
