Stoeger STR-9 9mm FDE/Cerakote Pistol w/ (3) 15Rd Mags and 3 Backstraps 31729

Purchased at a retail vendor. These guns are amazing bargains. They shoot great, feel great, are accurate and durable. They offer 4 packages of the full size 15rd pistol. Only 9mm caliber is offered. Bargain version. 1 15rd mag. 1 medium backstrap. Black. FDE version. 3 mags, loader, 3 backstraps S,M,L, 3 dot sights, allen key for rear sight. NS version, black only. All of the above accessories. 3 dot tritium night sights. Optics ready version. Plain sights, all above accessories, 4 optics plates, black only. At present they also offer a 13rd compact, 1 mag, black only. I bought one on a whim from my LGS. The FDE one. It shot great right out of the box. Some owners had sticky mags or weak ejection. I never had either of these issues. I have run only 124gr NATO spec Win ball and current round count is about 400. I have added an FDE Olight, installed a 3lb Glock connector and a johnny glocks smooth faced trigger. The pretravel has been adjusted to 1mm. The break is clean at 4lbs and the reset is ridiculous at about 1mm. Workmanship on these guns is really nice. The FDE finish is smooth and even and matches the frame. The 15rd mags are marked STR9 and Made in Italy. They were stiff to fully load the first few times but have limbered up nicely. My next experiments with this pistol will be to see if the backplate is a copy of or can be easily modified to M&P specs so I can use a clipdraw. Also. The Gen 5 G17 threaded barrel seems to require a few modifications to get it to work. Stoeger has no idea if a threaded bbl will ever be offered from the factory.
