What can I say -- it's a Tikka! Haven't finished the barrel break in procedure yet but it was shooting about 0.5 MOA during break in. Amazing. Tikka bolt is wicked smooth but I think the trigger is my absolute favorite aspect. Super crisp and easy to adjust down to a very light pull. This rifle is for my 10 yr old boy so I topped it with a simple and inexpensive Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40, which I am totally impressed with at the price point (way better than a Diamondback, for example). He's a small framed kid and really loves the feel of the Tikka. He can hold the rifle well with his small hands, the 70 degree bolt throw on the Tikka seems to be a real advantage for a young/new shooter; it's hard to remember a bolt feeling awkward but I can see the 90 degeee bolts are hard for his little wrists to cycle from the shooting position. Score one more for the Tikka. The stock seems pretty good for factory; much less flimsy than the Ruger and Savage kids guns plus the Tikka barrel is fully free floated. No flex was divisible when tightening action screws to 35 lbs. The aluminum recoil lug seems to be another bone. This one was wedged into the stick and wouldn't come out by hand. Fine with me. In 243, I doubt deformation of the aluminum will become an issue. Anyway, couldn't be happier with the rifle. As far as the purchase goes, that was very satisfactory as well. Bought the Tikka T3 Compact 243 "display model" from Euro Optic at a significant discount. As far as I'm concerned every gun I've ever bought was a display model and handled countless times at the counter. As expected, the gun showed up in the box, complete and flawless. Not a scratch or scuff. Shipping and FFL was a snap. I'll be checking this website often for display models!

It's hard to add to the good comments already posted. Installed a cheap scope and fired 2 rounds at paper, the holes are touching at 25 yards. Some good optics and I expect the same at 100 yards and more.

Just picked this up for my son. Shot 3/4 minute 5 shot group @ 100 yds out of the box with 95g Federal Fusion ammo. Incredible.
