Description

Ideal for tactical applications and competitive shooting, the Tikka T3x CTR Rifle Series delivers maximum performance in a compact package. Like all of the rifles in the T3x family, the CTR’s bolt is exceptionally smooth – a perfect feature for making quick follow up shots. The single-stage adjustable trigger can be finely tuned from 2.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs, breaks cleanly, and delivers maximum reliability in adverse conditions. The cold hammer forged barrel features a semi-heavy contour to minimize heat-warp and reduce barrel harmonics during prolonged firing sessions. The combination of a single stage trigger and semi-heavy contour barrel results on a sub-MOA level of accuracy, making the T3x CTR an excellent choice for long-range precision.

Other notable features of the Tikka T3x CTR Rifle include an ultra-durable polymer stock. The stock’s pistol grip is interchangeable for comfortable hand placement, and places the shooter’s finger in the optimal position relative to the trigger. The stock also features an integrated cheek rest to ensure proper alignment between the shooter’s eye and a mounted optic. In addition, the Tikka T3x CTR Rifle comes standard with a detachable 10-round magazine and a 1913 Picatinny optics rail.

It's a great and accurate rifle. The 20" barrel is a nice length to use with a suppressor. Being chambered in .223 this thing is an absolute blast to shoot. It will make you giggle. Excellent option for the price compared to building something with a heavy barrel. Stock is functional but the fore end has some flex. Does not contact the barrel as it is made with a LOT of clearance. The vertical grip on the tikkas is perfect for me. The cheek riser works well for me with a 20moa base and 30mm weaver tactical low rings. Higher rings and a 50mm objective might need extra cheek height. The action is very smooth and a pleasure to operate. However, I don't think it's as smooth as my stainless tikka. This could simply be the difference in bolt and action finish. The tactical bolt knob is a nice size and the plastic material is actually very slick in hand which I like when running the bolt fast. I took a small file to all the parting lines on cast/injection molded stock and bolt knob to smooth things out. They're not horrible but they are noticeable. The supplied 0moa rail is steel. It has recoil lugs that fit in the holes in the action. It also has extra screws where there are no holes in the action... one was sticking out and I thought it was loose. When trying to tighten it it started pressing on the action (because there's no hole there) and bending the rail up away from the action. I have no idea. Perhaps they reused a rail from another model and wanted to fill unused holes in the base. I replaced with a 20 moa rail anyway.

I love this rifle! It shoots every kind of .223 ammo I feed it into less than a 1” group. Can use cheap ammo for plinking and better ammo for hunting. So much fun to shoot with basically no recoil and extremely accurate. Being a lefty, options are limited. I called in when this rifle was out of stock and backordered it. Eurooptics gave me a discount for having to wait and about a month later they got some more lefty rifles in and shipped mine right out to my local ffl. Great service and transaction. Thank you!
