The Trijicon RMR HD RMHD1-C-3200001 is the next generation of the proven RMR platform - built on the same patented housing, forged aluminum construction, and proven electronics that made the standard RMR the benchmark for pistol-mounted red dots, and upgraded in the specific areas that military and law enforcement professionals identified as the next improvements the platform needed.
The most significant upgrade in the Trijicon RMR HD is the forward-mounted light sensor that reads the light at the target rather than at the shooter. Standard auto-brightness sensors read ambient light from the shooter's position - creating reticle washout when transitioning from a dark room to a bright exterior, and reticle bloom when going the other direction. The RMR HD forward sensor eliminates both problems by adjusting brightness based on the target area's actual appearance, keeping the dot at the correct intensity through every lighting transition.
The RMR sight RMHD1-C-3200001 gives shooters a choice between a dot-in-ring reticle for fast acquisition or a clean single dot for an unobstructed target view. Nine brightness settings, three night-vision-compatible settings, and one super-bright setting cover every lighting environment. The controls are more tactile and audible than the standard RMR - providing positive feedback even when wearing gloves.
The Trijicon red dot RMHD1-C-3200001 top-loading battery compartment allows battery replacement without removing the optic from the pistol. The index ridge alignment aid on top promotes faster target acquisition in dynamic situations.
