The Model 1890 revolver was Remington’s attempt to produce a pistol more akin to the popular Colt Single Action Army which dominated the American firearms market at the time. The Model 1890 featured an ejection rod similar to those found on Colt revolvers, and had a ring on the bottom of the grip for use with a lanyard. Although the Model 1890 wasn’t a major commercial success, a handful of saw service with Indian Police on Western Reservations.
