Real deal gen 3 but assembled in US. Difference is dust caps instead of sun shade. Glass is incredibly clear and the build quality is exceptional. Euro optics shipped out quickly and I had it the day after ordering. Spoke with vortex about ordering the sun shade and received one in the post, free of charge - along with a baseball cap, two days later. Both companies rock!

Finally got a chance to make a range trip and take this US Assembled Vortex Razor Gen III 1-10x for a spin. My setup was on an 18-inch AR with a Proof barrel mounted on a Vortex Precision mount. Glass is excellent. The turrets are very good and clicks are defined. These are not like Razor Gen II turrets, slightly softer, but still very good. Zeroing turrets is also simple and you loosen the set screw and slip the turret. Illumination is excellent and absolutely daylight bright. The reticle is very good BUT my 1 critique would be that the center dot is a bit large. I prefer a chevron or a smaller target style dot for precise aiming. The tree beneath the center dot is excellent and I had no issues connecting with 2 MOA targets at 400, 500, and 600 yards. Overall this is a solid LPVO.

Nice reticle, eye relief, clear glass, minimal scope shadow. What more can one ask for?
Not yet evaluated for ruggedness, but not expecting it to fail.

For a scope with no parallax this does amazing. Like any machined body it’s very durable. Kinda disappointed that this didn’t win the USMC contract because it’s more usable then the VCOG but I understand it was the cost difference that made this come second place. I personally love it. Decent eye box, lots of diopter adjustment and makes the reticle perfectly clear easily. I really enjoy the inner circle being see through. I usually shoot with if around 7x but I use 10x for information gathering.
