Well it looks terrific and the price is outstanding. Appearance of build quality looks high, especially for the price. However the "refresh rate" seems quite slow. Slower than any optic I have ever looked through. Rapid movement of the sight results in a series of intermittent dots as an image, rather than a moving red dot. I have never noticed this in any other sight.
I bought one hoping to like it and then end up buying a couple more, but honestly I think I will probably be giving this one away. For an extra 10 bucks or so you can get the Romeo 5. For a little more a Romeo 5 XDR if you want the AAA battery. I think understand why the Vortex is going for such an incredibly low price.

Great price, fast shipping, Vortex warranty, compact and quality sight with a 50,000 battery life!
Ordered the Sparc AR on 26 June, mounted and zeroed it on the 1st of July. You won't find a better Red Dot Sight for the price, and I was fortunate to have an AR with tan furniture when this was on sale.
Optic was easy to assemble and mount. The baseplate/mount is not installed, which honestly surprised me, so no disassembly is required to initially configure it as co-witness or lower 1/3.
Controls are simple and it has a useful brightness range, including a very bright maximum. Mine required a minimum of adjustment to zero, but windage and elevation both have clear "clicks".
To correct other reviews - the sights are new, not blems, and the battery is a AAA (one lithium battery is included).
This optic is too tall for most non-AR platforms, probably why they call it the SPARC AR :)

The optic works really well. I noticed the refresh rate on the dot is a bit slow so when moving the optic the dot seems to have multiple dots. However, the way I use a dot is not affected by this. I did hate the protective cover and lens covers so those had to be pulled of after a couple of rounds.

I bought this to go on my new Kel-Tec Sub 2000 gen 3 that's 10 and it matches perfectly it's zeroed in within 10 shots in has a nice Clear Window I love the fact that you can use AAA battery it's awesome

This is a simple, excellent red dot. I mounted it on a Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus 12 gauge, specifically for turkey season. It works great! The brightness settings offer enough range to go from dawn/dusk to bright sun easily. The sight is durable and has held zero through about 10 shots of heavy turkey loads. I am sure that it will have the toughness that all Vortex products typically do--and if it breaks there's the VIP warranty!!
If you need a red dot for a shotgun or AR this is a no brainer at this price!!

Arrived faster than anticipated. Great price, couldn’t pass up (on-sale). My second Vortex SPARC AR and third Vortex red dot. All three are very accurate tack drivers. Great quality, amazing warranty. Can never go wrong with Vortex. Love that I can change the battery out of the front without having to dismount.

Nice red dot optic. I put it on a Bear Creek side charging upper bore sighted it and when I shot the rifle it just required a very small adjustment that tracked right in. It has clear glass, a spacer if you want to raise the sight, and the dot remains clear throughout the adjustment range. I would buy another one if I need a red dot.

Great little optic! Love that it comes with an included spacer for Lower 1/3 height mounting, and that it runs off a single AAA battery. The lens caps folding together are a nice touch as well. This is a perfect optic for a compact platform.

Good optic. Easy to install and zero. Once I got it zeroed, three rounds cloverleafed at 50 yds. Seems to be a keeper. Only one range trip but really like it from it's maiden voyage.

Great optic for guns in the safe. They are definitely blems if you take off the cover but for this price who cares. AA battery and Vortex's awesome warranty. This purchase is a no brainer. I purchased two of them. I have had a black one for years and it has been rock solid. Great optic!
